Todays sermon was on Gentleness (in memory of my E61i)

Here is a list of things that I lost in the cab on the way home today about 3 hours ago.

  • Leatherman Blast Utility Tool (purchased 14-Apr-07, S$109)
  • Nokia E61i PDA Phone ( purchased 24-Apr-07, S$558)
  • 2 Energizer ECR2032 (purchase 29-Apr-07, S$5)
  • 1 Hayer Pouch to contain all the above (Mar-07, S$15)
  • 1 very scratched up orange Carabiner??? (?? S$1)

E61i

Yes Yes. Today’s message was on gentleness. At first, I thought I was going to kill someone. And then, it occurred to me that is really doesn’t mean anything. I just lost the stuff.

It doesn’t mean that my life is a mess. It doesn’t mean that the devil is out to get me (maybe he is but I don’t care because he can take my phone and nifty leatherman tool but not my joy or peace). It doesn’t mean that I’m a loser for losing almost 600 dollars worth of phone in 6 days. It fact, it doesn’t mean anything at all. It means that I lost the stuff. (It is probably better classified as left with someone who is refusing to return it). It means that I will miss the use of it and will probably spend 700+ trying to replace it all. But that’s all it means.

God is still good. The sun will rise again tomorrow. I still have a great family. Milo still tastes the way it does for breakfast and I’m still on track to finding out the great future that is in store for me. My replacement SIM card arrives in 12 hours from this posting. Nora will be home to receive it while I am out on a lunch date with Praise.
